New Year’s Eve Idaho Potato Drop 2020

Ring in the new year with the 7th annual Idaho Potato Drop in downtown Boise, Idaho’s signature holiday event that can only be truly experienced LIVE at the Idaho State Capitol! The Idaho® Potato Drop is a free and charitable world-class New Year’s Eve destination that supports local arts, business and charities.

 

KTVB will be on hand broadcasting live across NBC stations in Cecil D. Andrus Park featuring music, sporting events and live art performances. Starting at 3:00 PM, the Grown In Idaho® Main Stage comes to life with live music, while athletes test their meddle at the Urban-Air 2020 Ski and Snowboard Exhibition hosted by White Claw. This cutting-edge snow park is the first of it’s kind, utilizing tow-in winch systems and custom-built features from Olympic Snow Park designer Ryan Neptune of Gateway Parks and top athlete Mason Kennedy of Onslaught CrewMcCall Winter Carnival will be dazzling crowds with world-class ice sculpting, while Wrestle Club battles for the “Potato Belt Championship”. Families will love the fun activities and non- profit vendor booths in the free, heated Mountain America Credit Union Family Tent. Sample delicious local food and beverage in the food court after touring the all ages beer garden and vendor camp located throughout the park. Don’t forget to snap a picture with Spuddy Buddy and the Big Idaho® Potato Truck!

 

The Cowboy Junkies, the evening’s headliner, will begin their set around midnight. When the countdown to the new year begins, Inland Crane wille ‘Drop’ it like it’s hot to a breathtaking fireworks display!

 

For attendees who are 21+, you won’t want to forget your IDs because there is something for everyone. Payette Brewing Company, Coors Light, Blue Moon, Monaco Vodka & Cocktails, and various styles of wine will be provided through CSB. If you find yourself struggling to stay awake until midnight, we will also be serving Rockstar Energy Drink.

While general admission for the event is free, VIP tickets are available for $100 until they run out. VIP includes a complimentary drink, hors d’oeuvres, and chance to win raffle prizes all while in a headed crystal clear tent.
