Idaho Food Bank Check Presentation

On Wednesday, March 11th Craig Stein Beverage presented the Idaho Food Bank with a $15,000.00 dollar donation. Making the check presentation to the Idaho Food Bank are Craig Stein, Dennis McAuliff, and Scott Norell. Quoting Karen Vauk, President & CEO, of the Idaho Food Bank,

“A big thank you to Craig Stein Beverage for another $15k donation. This generous company not only supports our efforts to solve hunger in Idaho year after year, but they also provide some sweet prizes for the annual gala in September, A Chef’s Affaire.”

CSB has partnered with Idaho Food Bank for eight years. In addition to the check presentation, CSB associates have volunteered to pack food at the Idaho Foodbank Distribution Center for a couple of hours after work for the past two years packaging food for the charity to provide to Idaho families in need. We are coordinating another date this summer as the restrictions of the current event diminish to conduct another food packing session, obviously with new social distancing guidelines. Our volunteer group holds the record in 2019, quoting Jane McLaughlin,

“In just two hours you labelled 10,504 pounds of canned vegetables and bagged over 1,216 pounds of fresh vegetables. This equates to 9,767 meals for hungry Idahoans.”

The Idaho Foodbank is an independent, donor-supported, nonprofit organization founded in 1984, and is the largest food bank and distributor of free food assistance in Idaho. From warehouses in Boise, Lewiston and Pocatello, the Foodbank distributes food for millions of meals each year through a network of over 400 community-based partners across the state.

We are proud supporters of the Idaho Food Bank.
